On the 25th and 26th of September 2008, Mr. A. Petsetas, member of the State Aid Unit, attended an EIPA seminar in Maastricht concerning “State aid for environmental protection”. The main issues covered during the first day were the environmental guidelines and the General Block Exemption Regulation. During the second day, the issues of eco-innovation, cost calculation, eco-taxes and promotion of renewable energy were discussed.
