On the 12th and 13th of June 2008, Ms. E. Vagianou, member of the State Aid Unit, attended a seminar in Brussels titled “6th Experts’ Forum on New Developments in European State Aid Law 2008”, which was organized by the legal journal ESTAL. The main focus of the seminar concerned the recent jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the European Communities as well as the Court of First Instance in the state aid field. The issue of recovery was also discussed, with emphasis on the decisions “CELF” and “Lucchini”. Another issue, the access to documents related to state aid, has been presented by the European Ombudsman, Mr. N. Diamantouros.
