On the 31st March and the 1st April 2008 members of the State Aid Unit and of EIPA/Maastricht conducted a seminar regarding state aid for the staff of the Ministry of Development. Mrs. K. Sgouridou, member of the State Aid Unit, examined de minimis aid, Mrs. E. Mouameletzi, Research Director of the Centre of International and European Economic Law and Coordinator of the State Aid Unit, analyzed the Services of General Economic Interest and Mr. A. Kaidatzis, member of the State Aid Unit, commented on the new General Block Exemption Regulation. On behalf of EIPA, Mr. Ph. Nicolaides dealt with the balancing test when evaluating state aid while Mr. M. Kekelekis addressed the issue of defining SMEs.
